Application tips:
Surfaces/materials to be glued
Ampacoll Airmax Spray Primer is a primer for Ampacoll adhesive tapes on porous or rough surfaces such as masonry, plaster, concrete, bare wood, soft fiberboard, etc.
Preparation
Surfaces, joints and materials to be glued must be clean and dry, free of dust and grease. Remove any concrete or cement residue.
Application
Protect plastics and sensitive surfaces by coating them before spraying. Evenly apply a layer of primer as wide as the tape to the surface. Spray absorbent surfaces slowly and intensively (in one process). Protect sprayed surfaces from dust and moisture, etc. Allow the primer to dry. Depending on the temperature and the surface, it usually takes between 10 and 40 minutes. In case of humidity or low temperature, the curing time may increase. The primer stays tacky. The primer is completely dry when fingerprints can no longer be seen or are barely visible. The spray nozzle can be turned twice. By turning the small black nozzle, it is possible to direct the spray jet. By turning the entire spray head to the Low, Medium, High positions, it is possible to adjust the amount of spray.
Note
Ampacoll Airmax Spray Primer is not compatible with paint. Paints, varnishes and plastics can dissolve. Check that the primer is compatible with the adjacent materials.
