The protective function of the nail seal
What is the best roof membrane if water can get into screw or nail holes? Ampacoll ND.Band nail sealing tape is your guarantee for waterproof roof membranes. Cross-lamination, shrinking wood, extreme alternating wet and dry weather cycles, low contact pressure, poor nail adhesion in the rafters, mechanical stress from scaffolding or tile trestle, permanent snow covers – these are all potential sources of damage!
Installation tips
With the help of a chalk string, mark the desired position of the batten on the membrane. Glue the Ampacoll ND.Band tape directly to the membrane in the marked areas. Next, you can start the lamination work. Laths are very sensitive to extreme humidity and dryness. Therefore, for better insulation, Ampack recommends using nail sealing.
